BODOW Project, North Carolina - High Performance
This sleek project combines a beautiful design while adhering to the Passive House principles without certification. The combination of Viking V21 for fixed windows and DK22 (Tilt & Turn) for operable windows as well as Gulu lift & slide doors and SW17 swing doors makes sure, an average U value of 0.132 has been achieved. This project uses a panelized building system from B.PUBLIC which helps to build faster and more energy efficient while significantly reducing waste. As in most projects nowadays this project has chosen some 'extra' cool features like the 'soft close' function for the lift & slide doors which lifts the superior Viking doors to another level! As in most projects, powder coated aluminum window sills (exact same RAL color like the windows) will be tailored to the width of the windows. Updates follow soon!
BEACH HOUSE Project, California - Passive House Ready
This beach house project utilizes Viking SW17 windows & doors plus a big Innova sliding door. It will be built Passive House ready following all principles including documentation, so it can be certified at any time. We worked closely with the PH consultant to make sure that especially the glass configuration adheres to PH figures. Furthermore we applied an additional and special 'sea side coating layer to the aluminum clad to prevent corrosion. The inside wood finish of the windows and doors complement well the beach house style. We will keep you posted as soon as there will be more updates.
PINE Project, Louisville - High Performance House
Another High Performance Project based on Passive House principles. A combination of sustainable, healthy and highly efficient building materials and methods will make this house another prime example how to build significantly better and healthier than existing building codes. We used Viking DK windows (Tilt& Turn), SW17 in-swing doors and Gulu & Innova sliding doors which resulted in an average U value of 0.132 (existing building code in Louisville is 0.3)! The windows are two sided in color (inside and outside) and use two different outside colors complementing different siding materials and colors. All that and a bag of chips at no additional costs.
GRAND LAKE Project - High Performance House
This High Performance Project combines the best of two worlds: highly efficient window and door solutions at very competitive pricing. Vikings beautiful outward swinging V21 wooden windows with aluclad demonstrate that slimmer designed options can also achieve fantastic average U-values in the 0.13-0.15 range. Its clever design by Western peak combines operable windows & sliding doors where needed and large fixed windows for the majority of the openings. This approach helps to reduce costs as well as lowers significantly the U values of the windows & doors. A nice "side effect": The large Viking windows & doors embrace the gorgeous landscape and views.
This gorgeous mountain house project gets near completion and it's time for an update. Western Peak Design & Development designed and built this stunner while having high performance in mind. Triple pane, tempered, pre-pressurized (hence hermetically sealed IGUs) Viking wooden windows, V21 and doors (Gulu & SW17) with aluclad on the outside were a prefect match. If you love watching a great video how smooth the Gulu lift and slide doors glide including the coolest feature 'soft close', click below. More pics to come very soon.
W PINE Project - Passive House Certified
This Passive House certified project is another prime example how design and functionality can work side-by-side and complement each other. Vikings wooden window and door solutions with aluclad on the outside offer a cohesive look and deliver the needed efficiency for Passive House Certification. Outward swinging SW14 windows, SW17 in swing doors and highly efficient Innova Sliding doors make sure the windows and doors fit right into this gorgeous project.

PINE Project - Passive House Certified
This stunning project is not only based on the principles of Passive House but will also be Passive House certified. A Passive House needs especially high quality and performance windows and doors besides a superior thermal insulation, the absence of thermal bridges, air tightness and heat recovery ventilation. And we are proud to be chosen as their partners to deliver such highly functional (and beautiful!) windows and doors.
We worked closely with the General Contractor to help find the most suitable solutions and the project is now well underway. More info to come...

E STALLION Project - High Performance
The customer of this residential house project wanted as much natural light as possible, hence bigger than normal window & door solutions. Furthermore the home owner also wanted slim frames and a proper glass configuration to make sure the high winds won't do damage or let noise infiltrate their home. To accommodate all their wishes, we came up with a uPVC window & door solution: AluPlast Ideal in all white and - of course - triple glazing.
BLACKHAWK Project - Stunningly beautiful
Up in the mountains, this house is about efficiency, functionality and design. We worked with Revolve Design to find the best solution for the customer and used the Viking V21 windows with beautiful Viking sliding doors. The slim wooden frames plus the aluclad on the outside (to withstand the harshest conditions) included triple glazing. At a glance: Superior Uw values (0.15 range), amazing functionality and beautiful design.
MU Residence - Energy Efficient & Cost Effective Residential Project
This project applies the Passive House principles without certifying it. The owner supported by his knowledgeable contractor chose to strive for excellent, energy efficient materials and applications in relation to costs. In other words a great price performance ratio.
We offered a cost efficient uPVC profile called AluPlast Ideal 4000 and enhanced its performance with triple pane glass (Uw-value around 0.15!). Furthermore we added a clever concept with different Solar Heat Gain Coefficients (SHGCs) based on directions. It helps to heat the house respectively keep it cool where (direction) and when (summer respectively winter) necessary.
This project is one of our favorites as we love clever applied solutions!

Downtown Denver - Hybrid (Commercial & Residential) Building
This project is special in various ways. Old red brick stone was collected and refurbished from an old manufacturing building and used as an outer shell. The inner shell consists of conventional concrete. With an additional in-between layer of insulating material, the thickness of the wall is almost tripled compared to conventional buildings! Quality is certainly on the top of the builders priority list.
Highly efficient, quality windows were an absolute must on the contractors requirement list. To meet aesthetics, a two-colored window frame (green on the outside and white on the inside) was another top priority. Top window functionality was given in the briefing as another plus. After an initial consultation, we proposed cost effective yet efficient & functional Tilt & Turn windows (uPVC), for both residential and commercial used levels. In addition, we got asked for tailored green aluminum exterior doors to match the outside window color and include a milky glass insert in the middle. As we are able to design and manufacture to specifications at a competitive price, we were able to meet our customers needs.
With the windows having been installed on the backside of the window, the upcoming week will be used to start the window installation on the frontside of the building. As you can see in the pictures the windows are still protected by wraps until the scaffolding will be removed. It is a mixture of picture windows and tilt & turn windows. The outside color is dark green and the inside color of the windows is white.

Denver Hilltop Neighborhood (Holly & Cedar St.) - Co-Own Project |
The Co-Own Company was formed to develop, sell, and manage co-owned housing in urban and university neighborhoods. As housing in urban centers becomes more expensive, home ownership has become out of reach for more and more people. The Co-Own Company believes homeownership should be simple, accessible and affordable, and that more people deserve beautiful places to live. The projects each have functional private space with your own bathroom and kitchen access, paired with high end shared amenities like spacious living rooms, office space, dining room and rooftop decks. They have taken the best parts of co-living and added the benefits of equity and ownership.
The building designs use traditional brick exteriors that blend in well in established urban neighborhoods. The residences provide private bedrooms and bath suites for each owner, in addition to full access to shared living rooms, dining areas, co-working space and outdoor amenities. Each residence has optional furnishings available to maximize space, making move-in quick and easy.
The units will also have the highest energy efficiency and indoor air-quality as part of our net-zero energy design. The buildings include solar photovoltaic panels, high efficiency electric water heaters, energy efficient appliances, and underfloor heating as well as highly functional and energy efficient windows & doors. They are even providing an electric car-sharing option for their residents!
We at E Windowtastic believe wholeheartedly in this project and its purpose. It basically serves two purposes: enabling people to build equity while providing a sustainable living environment. Hence we are extremely happy and proud to be one of the selected suppliers and help this project come to life.
